Temporary Home
Little boy, 6 years old
\r\nA little too used to bein' alone
\r\nAnother new mom and dad, another school
\r\nAnother house that'll never be home
\r\nWhen people ask him how he likes this place
\r\nHe looks up and says with a smile upon his face
\r\n
\r\n\"This is my temporary home
\r\nIt's not where I belong
\r\nWindows and rooms that I'm passin' through
\r\nThis is just a stop, on the way to where I'm going
\r\nI'm not afraid because I know this is my
\r\nTemporary Home.\"
\r\n
\r\nYoung mom on her own
\r\nShe needs a little help got nowhere to go
\r\nShe's lookin' for a job, lookin' for a way out
\r\nBecause a half-way house will never be a home
\r\nAt night she whispers to her baby girl
\r\nSomeday we'll find a place here in this world
\r\n
\r\n\"This is our temporary home
\r\nIt's not where we belong
\r\nWindows and rooms that we're passin' through
\r\nThis is just a stop, on the way to where we're going
\r\nI'm not afraid because I know
\r\nThis is our temporary Home.
\r\n
\r\nOld man, hospital bed
\r\nThe room is filled with people he loves
\r\nAnd he whispers don't cry for me
\r\nI'll see you all someday
\r\nHe looks up and says \"I can see God's face\"
\r\n
\r\n\"This is my temporary Home
\r\nIt's not where I belong
\r\nWindows and rooms that I'm passin' through
\r\nThis was just a stop,on the way To where I'm going
\r\nI'm not afraid because I know this was
\r\nMy temporary home.\"
\r\n
\r\nThis is our temporary home
